Vista installed service pack

I've downloaded MBSA and found this very useful. I did have some missing updates which I installed. However, it did not solve my main issue regarding SP1.

MBSA just stated that it was missing and that I needed to download and install it, and did not go any further in relation to my problem. I was hoping that the missing updates I did install would have helped, but unfortunately these were unrelated. In reply to Bill Smithers's post on July 18, I had previously tried this. However, I did follow your instructions again and unfortunately the same issue still applies. Many thanks for everyones assistance. Unfortunately, I never solved the problem and have just brought a new laptop.
